Following Trump’s second defamation trial loss against E. Jean Carroll Kelly foresees another defeat for him in the upcoming trial involving Stormy Daniels. In a recent episode of her podcast, Kelly lamented the outcome of Carroll’s case, asserting that Trump’s prospects with the jury in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial are equally bleak. 

Scheduled to begin on March 25 in New York, this trial implicates Trump in allegedly paying $130,000 to the adult film actress to conceal their affair, with prosecutors alleging that Trump attempted to disguise the payment as legal fees to his former attorney, Michael Cohen.

Known for her conservative stance, Kelly criticized Carroll’s celebration of the verdict alongside MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, branding it as stomach-turning and insinuating political motives behind the lawsuit from the outset.

Drawing parallels to Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations against Brett Kavanaugh during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings, which Kelly perceives as part of a calculated campaign, she cast doubt on Carroll’s portrayal as a champion.

Additionally, Kelly’s podcast delved into other high-profile harassment cases, including Gretchen Carlson’s lawsuit against former chairman Roger Ailes, reflecting on her own encounters with 

workplace harassment detailed in her memoir and portrayed in the film Bombshell.

The Stormy Daniels trial represents just one of several legal hurdles Trump faces, including charges in Florida for mishandling classified documents post-presidency, federal charges related to the 2016 election, and state charges in Georgia for alleged election interference. 

Despite Trump’s previous efforts to transfer the Daniels case to federal court, a maneuver he abandoned in November, the legal challenges persist.

Kelly’s prediction underscores the uphill battle Trump confronts in navigating these legal entanglements, suggesting that his courtroom struggles are far from over as he continues to grapple with the ramifications of his past actions.
