On September 1, 2022, President Joe Biden traveled to Philadelphia’s Independence Hall to warn that America’s democratic values are under assault by forces of extremism loyalty to former President Donald J. Trump because “They refuse to accept the results of a free election” and that they want to “empower election deniers to undermine democracy itself” – “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.” – Democrats have a lengthy history of refusing to accept the results of elections they lost.
