About the Community

Arcadia was not always a haven for vacationers. It has a torrid past and was infamous for being a rather wild place in the thick of the late 19th century cattle wars. However better sense prevailed amongst 20th century descendants of the original inhabitants and a steady stream of immigrants from South America have helped change the profile of this town. Delectable parks, signature homes and modern urban amenities have made Arcadia a destination of choice for tourists and for people looking for a place to call home. The town has some eight thousand residents in an area of about four square miles.
