Donte DiVincenzo now holds the record for most three-pointers in New York Knicks history, showcasing remarkable shooting skills.

DiVincenzo came into a highly anticipated game against the San Antonio Spurs only three three-pointers short of breaking Evan Fournier’s single-season record of 241 points.

Expectations high, the rookie guard for the Knicks did not waste any time in creating history. In the second quarter of Friday’s game, he confidently broke the mark with a three-point shot. DiVincenzo’s accomplishment is proof of his outstanding play all season long.

The Villanova product, who spent time with the Bucks, Kings, and Warriors before joining the Knicks in the offseason, has had a career-best year shooting three points.

After breaking his previous record of 150 three-pointers, DiVincenzo has shown incredible effectiveness from long range, with a staggering 44 percent shooting accuracy.

It’s interesting to note that, despite attempting five more threes per game this season, this is still very close to his career high of 45 percent, which he accomplished during the 2019–20 campaign.

Donte DiVincenzo’s record-breaking run doesn’t stop there, though. He cemented his reputation as the Knicks’ sharpshooting phenom on March 25 when he made an astounding 11 three-pointers in a single game against the Pistons, setting yet another franchise record.

The accomplishment on Friday gives DiVincenzo even another honor in his blossoming career with the Knicks, highlighting his significance to the group’s success as they prepare for what might be a deep postseason run.

The Knicks will undoubtedly need DiVincenzo’s versatility and clutch shooting as the postseason approaches and they look to make a lasting mark on the opposition.

DiVincenzo’s season-long breakneck performance has solidified his legacy in Knicks history and is evidence of his talent, dedication, and impact on the team’s quest for greatness.
