Stanford Cardinal standout Cameron Brink has declared her intention to enter the WNBA draft following the conclusion of the current college basketball season, where she is anticipated to be among the top picks.

Brink, a towering 6-foot-4 senior, has been a formidable force on both ends of the court throughout her collegiate career, earning accolades as one of the nation’s premier two-way players. 

ESPN’s latest mock draft positions her as the second overall pick, projecting her to join the Los Angeles Sparks.

Having the option to return for a fifth season due to the NCAA’s COVID-19 eligibility extension, Brink has decided to pursue her professional aspirations while aiming to cap off her collegiate journey on a high note.

The senior has unfinished business, aiming to add to her impressive resume in her final season with the Cardinal.

Brink’s impact on Stanford’s success has been profound. A standout performer since her freshman year, she played a pivotal role in securing the national championship in 2021 and has consistently propelled her team to contention in subsequent seasons. 

Named the Pac-12 Player of the Year and a soon-to-be three-time All-American, Brink’s influence extends far beyond individual accolades.

Under the guidance of legendary coach Tara VanDerveer, Brink has thrived, contributing to six Pac-12 championships and leaving an indelible mark on Stanford basketball history. 

VanDerveer commended Brink for her dedication and described her as one of the program’s all-time greats.
