Authorities discovered a suspicious suitcase or briefcase at the scene, prompting the involvement of the bomb squad. In response to the unfolding situation, Ron Rienas, the General Manager of the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority, confirmed the closure of all four US-Canada bridges over the Niagara River.
