Op-Ed: Hate Rhetoric Threatens Supreme Court Decisions

BOCA RATON, FL – We’ve reached a tipping point in the sanity of this country at the arrest of an individual, an American, who planned and nearly carried out the assassination of a sitting Supreme Court Justice. Unheard of and frightening. But violence and the encouragement of such actions on the part of the leadership of the Left against their political adversaries is an ongoing fact. This should be troubling to all of us on either side of the aisle. This act of madness was thankfully stopped by police who were already guarding Justice Kavanaugh’s home. But this incident follows weeks of growing, hostile, threatening verbiage from pro-choice advocates after the May 2nd draft opinion leak that indicated the possible conservative majority on the Supreme Court may overturn Roe vs. Wade, the Statue of Liberty image for all progressives. An hour after this mysterious leak, pro choice crowds swarmed the streets on which conservative justices lived and marched, loudly and menacingly trying to intimidate the judges and their families in order to rethink their votes on the issue. Acts of this kind, protesting physically in front of justices’ residences is illegal by federal statute, but Attorney General Merrick Garland, the prat boy for the White House, who sicced the FBI on parents who stood up to school boards and referred to them as “domestic terrorists,” ignored these infractions. And not even a Republican has called for his resignation.

But the general public, those who rely on the media for their news, is largely ignorant of this incident, its background and seriousness. Of course, a dead Justice would be replaced by a progressive one of Biden’s choice. By this Sunday morning, the above story was largely ignored by most major networks, and print coverage by the hard copy papers hid the story on its back pages. A trick they learned from the NYT which buried stories of the ongoing Holocaust near its Used Car section. It was a different scenario back in 2011, when then Representative Gabby Giffords, (D-Ariz.) was shot and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was blamed for inciting the violence because of some made up map she was supposed to have drawn up of political targets. However, not one of the Far Left media pundits have rebroadcast, if ever they even showed Senator Schumer’s scathing verbal threats to conservative SC judges while standing in front of the Court during a 2020 pro-life rally: “I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions!” Chuck never apologized for these basically criminal threats of incitement, nor did he respond to reporters who recently asked him to comment on the attempt on Kavanaugh’s life.

He’s nothing more than a bully. On Fox News this Sunday, Bret Baier asked Senator Chris Coons (D-Del) about the heated rhetoric and illegal demonstrations against the judges. Coons response was merely, that both sides must tone down the “level of our political rhetoric.” To Democrats, all sides spout hate. Of course.

As of this writing, in front of the homes of Chief Justice John Roberts, Amy Coney Barrett, Samuel Alito and of course, Brett Kavanaugh, there are ongoing demonstrations, terrorizing not only the justices and their families, but their neighbors as well. Silence on the part of elected Progressive leaders coupled with the hostile verbiage of the likes of Schumer throw now expensive gasoline on the flames of hate. Sadly, we will all “reap the whirlwind” and its effects on our liberties will be catastrophic. Wait and see.
