OCALA, FL – On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, Ocala Police Detectives arrested Zachary Wayne Turpin, 28, and his two girlfriends, Kendra Marie Long, 28, and Annabelle Riquelle Lagiglia, 26, for capital sexual battery on a child.
According to charging affidavits, on February 2, 2022, after a Child Protection interview was conducted in reference to a sexual battery on an unnamed child and drug activity, detectives began investigating 28-year-old Zachary Turpin, and two of his girlfriends, Kendra Long, 28, and Annabelle Lagiglia, 26.
The following day detectives responded to the suspects home, located on NE 22nd Street in Ocala with the Florida Department of Children and Families to remove two additional three-year-old children from the home while the investigation was ongoing.
While there, it was determined that Zachary, Kendra, Annabelle, and Alexis Carroll, 25, are all in a non-monogamous relationship, where the three women all wear dog type collars that only Zachary has a key to. There is also a live-in nanny, Michael Morehead, 29, who is responsible for home chores and taking care of the children, according to detectives.
Later in the month, detectives reviewed a Child Protective Services interview with a victim who said she did not enjoy going to the residence because she would have to have sex “every time I go” according to heavily redacted documents from Ocala Police.
The victim said “it wasn’t only him doing it, it was those other two girls, Kendra and Annabelle” as well. “He stuck his private parts in my private parts, he made me put his private parts in my mouth.” The victim further stated “I kind of had to do it because he was forcing me. I didn’t really say anything about it besides yes because that’s all I could say.”
The young girl also told detectives about drug use saying they also do drugs “and the three girls do too” and that she is “pretty sure it is Cocaine because she knows Cocaine is a white powder” and that “Lexie, Annabelle, and Kendra all do this, and it always makes them act differently.”
While interviewing the young victim detectives ensured the child knew how to identify “private parts” which the victim identified as a male’s penis, the female’s vagina, and buttocks, according to detectives.
Upon questioning the victim stated sometimes “it goes in, and it hurts and sometimes he makes her sit on top of him and move back and forth and that when she moves back and forth, she doesn’t feel the pain, but it’s still “scary-weird.”
The interviewer asked the victim if she had ever seen anything come out of the private part, which she stated, “yes, pee.” When asked what it looked like she said she hasn’t seen it but “when he makes his private part go in my mouth, I taste it because he pees in my mouth.” And that it tastes “kind of like salt water mixed with a little bit of garbage.”
The victim also told investigators that the girls all walk around naked and the girls would do “the same thing that he does to her,” and that Annabelle and Kendra would use their mouth and stick their tongues inside her private part stating that “this was painful and weird” and that all the girls, Annabelle, Kendra, and Lexie would “all wear collars and leashes.”
The crime of Sexual Battery on a child under 12 by a person 18 or older is a ‘Capital Felony’ in the State of Florida. If convicted of capital sexual battery the sentence could range from life imprisonment without parole or death by electrocution or lethal injection, according to Naples Florida based Musca Law.
