PUNTA GORDA, FL – Joseph Maxwell Griffin, 36, is currently still in jail this afternoon after being arrested on 6 counts of Sexual Battery on a minor. The call came in on July 27th, reporting that Griffin had been sexually assaulting the victim for several years in his home located in the 23000 block of Chimes avenue in Port Charlotte.
Detectives investigated the allegation and interviewed Griffin while he was working at the Applebees located on Sandhill Blvd in Port Charlotte. After speaking with Griffin, he was placed under arrest on six charges of Sexual Battery.
