CHICAGO – R & B legend Robert Kelly, known musically as “R Kelly” has turned himself into Chicago Police Friday night on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. At this time Kelly has been released on $1 Million bond.
The charges come just weeks after the documentary titled “Surviving R Kelly” was released on Netflix. Authorities say three of the victims in the indictment were between the ages of 13 and 17 at the time of the offences which took place between 1998 and 2010.
According to his attorney, Steven Greenberg, R Kelly rejects any claims of sexual abuse against anyone and Greenberg believes the charges were only filed due to public pressure. His insists his client will fight these charges and eventually be vindicated.
